“Curry Spaghetti! Because I Didn’t Have Any Rice!” — Osusume #OuchiGohan Blog
At Osusume #OuchiGohan, yesterday I suddenly wanted to eat curry, so I made some. However, I hadn’t cooked any rice, so I decided to eat it with some spaghetti that I had boiled and kept in the refrigerator. That is exactly what you see above.
Originally, I wanted to have curry and rice, but first and foremost, I had to satisfy my craving for curry. Today, I plan to cook some rice and have curry and rice.
It may seem obvious, but curry automatically includes plenty of meat and vegetables, making it a healthy meal. When I have spaghetti, I tend to eat less meat and fewer vegetables. That was also one of the reasons I decided to make curry.
I post about every meal I eat on X, so I decided to ask artificial intelligence: Are my meals over the past month actually healthy?
As usual, I asked the following four AI systems about the nutritional aspects of the meals shown in my X posts:

Grok’s Response
I looked through the recent one month of posts from @taizoosusume, mainly from August 2026. You have consistently recorded every meal, which shows excellent dedication. Based on the dietary patterns I could identify from your posts, here is my nutritional analysis.
Overall Dietary Trends
Breakfast:
Breakfast is mainly toast, often with cheese, roast ham, onions, cabbage, tomatoes, croquettes, and other ingredients. Mayonnaise and ketchup are also used frequently.
Lunch and dinner:
Spaghetti dishes such as curry-style spaghetti, peperoncino, Japanese-style ponzu spaghetti, and stir-fried spaghetti are common, along with ramen such as tonkotsu and miso ramen. Curry and eating out also appear occasionally. Common ingredients include pork, onions, cabbage, tomatoes, green peppers, and seaweed.
Most of your meals are homemade, and you seem to creatively prepare economical and convenient dishes. It is a positive point that you consciously include a certain amount of meat and vegetables.
Positive Points — Healthy Aspects
You are getting a good amount of protein.
Pork, ham, cheese, and other protein sources are included almost every day. They are useful for maintaining muscle and helping you feel full.
You consciously include vegetables.
Onions, cabbage, and tomatoes appear frequently. When you make curry, potatoes and carrots are also added, helping provide dietary fiber and vitamins. As you mentioned on your blog, curry naturally tends to contain more meat and vegetables, making it easier to create a balanced meal.
You mainly cook at home.
Eating out is relatively uncommon, and being able to control the amount of oil and seasonings yourself is a major advantage. It is also great that you are continuing this while keeping your food expenses low.
Points to Consider — Room for Improvement
The proportion of carbohydrates is relatively high.
Toast, spaghetti, and ramen are the main staples, so your blood sugar levels may fluctuate more easily. If you have meals centered on white rice or pasta for many consecutive days, it can also make it easier to consume more energy than you need.
The variety of vegetables is somewhat limited.
Cabbage, onions, and tomatoes are the main vegetables you eat. Adding more green and yellow vegetables, such as spinach, carrots, and broccoli, as well as mushrooms, would broaden your intake of vitamins and minerals.
Fat and salt.
Because mayonnaise, ketchup, and ramen soup appear frequently, your intake of fat and sodium may tend to be relatively high. In particular, you should be careful about salt intake on ramen days.
There seems to be a lack of fruit, dairy products, and beans.
Judging from your posts, you do not frequently eat fruit, yogurt, natto, and similar foods. Adding more sources of vitamin C, calcium, and fermented foods would make your diet more ideal.
Overall Assessment
“Relatively healthy, but a diet that can easily become unbalanced toward carbohydrates and fat.”
It is very good that you cook for yourself and make sure to include meat and vegetables. In particular, actively incorporating curry is an excellent choice because it makes it easier to create a balanced meal. Yesterday’s curry spaghetti and your plan to have curry and rice today are both good choices.
Small Improvements I Recommend
- Slightly reduce the amount of toast or pasta and increase the amount of vegetables.
- Add mushrooms, leafy vegetables, and root vegetables two or three times a week.
- On ramen days, leave some of the soup, or add plenty of ingredients.
- Simply adding one serving of fruit or yogurt to breakfast would broaden the nutritional range of your diet.
Overall, I think you have a good eating pattern in which you eat properly, make creative choices, and keep it going. Being honest about your craving and making curry is also one of the secrets to maintaining a diet without putting too much pressure on yourself.
I look forward to seeing more of your Osusume #OuchiGohan meal records!
If you would like to ask about the details of a particular day’s meals, just let me know.
